Education

Graduate, B.S. Biophysics, University of Michigan (2013) Research Associate II, Wood Group, Biophysics, University of Michigan (2013-2016)

Experience

Since high school, I have provided tutoring in the natural sciences and mathematics to students with diverse educational backgrounds, as well as pro bono services as a volunteer with the Innoworks U-M chapter. Through this experience, I have developed a style that emphasizes personalized skill development through mindful activity. Our first session will include a brief assessment of your learning style. Background After completing my B.S. in biophysics at U-M (Ann Arbor), I worked in the Wood Lab group, Program in Biophysics, studying the dynamics of cellular populations in support of a community effort to combat developing microbiocide resistance. Toward that end, I developed a molecular test that measured the composition of mixed bacterial samples. For more information on the Wood Lab's ongoing research program, see http://woodlab.biop.lsa.umich.edu Subjects I have taken and am qualified to assist with most introductory and intermediate and science courses you'll come across, as well as advanced courses in my specialty subjects of biology, biochemistry, and microbiology. These courses include (U-M LSA catalog codes): BIOLOGY: General Biology (BIO 171/172/173), Genetics (BIO 305), Molecular Biology (MCDB 427) CHEMISTRY: General Chemistry (CHEM 130), Organic Chemistry (CHEM 210, 211, 215, and 216), Analytic Chemistry (CHEM 241/2), Physical Chemistry (BIOP 370), Biochemistry (CHEM 451) PHYSICS: General Physics (PHYS 140/141 and 240/241), Thermodynamics (PHYS 340/341), Dynamical Processes in Biophysics (BIOP 417), Macromolecular Structure and Dynamics (BIOP 454) MATH: Calculus I and II (MATH 115, 116), Calculus III/multi-variable (MATH 215), and Calculus IV/differential equations (MATH 216)
