Education
I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Honors Evolutionary Anthropology. I recently graduated from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. I am a resident physician in Internal Medicine this year and will begin my Ophthalmology residency program in July 2019. I am primarily offering online tutoring sessions for Michigan students. Many of my students prefer this mode of tutoring because it allows for a lot of flexibility in time and location for the sessions. Science GPA: 3.93 Overall GPA: 3.91
Experience
I am very passionate about teaching and instilling a love for the sciences in my students. I really enjoy guiding students to academic success. I believe that everyone can succeed in any subject with enough work and dedication. Science can be the hardest subject, but the most gratifying when you finally understand the concepts. I have 10+ Years of tutoring experience, I have been a UM Science Learning Center Study Group Facilitator (and Course Leader for Organic Chemistry) for several years, and was an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for BIO 172 during the fall 2013 semester. I am willing and able to teach each concept in several different ways. This is very helpful for students, especially when it is difficult to understand a concept based on the way it is being taught in class. I have taken several classes in each of the subjects I tutor for, which has given me exposure to many different approaches to explaining concepts. ACT English: 34 ACT Reading: 35
