People learn differently. Being a student, I know that feeling all too well - "I wish I could just ask somebody a bunch of questions, but office hours aren't on right now/I just have no idea what's going on/this professor(or teacher) is talking above my head". That's why I want to tutor - to teach people and give them the understanding on topics to not just pass or excel the class, but to have them really learn the material. I have served on the board of the Sigma Gamma Tau academic honors fraternity, where we exist to provide academic help to aerospace students. Within, I have led review sessions, and helped and taught underclassman. Also, being a lead on the Solar Car team has let me teach complex CFD software and other aerodynamic principals. Being a senior, I have taken all of the required undergraduate engineering courses and aerospace courses(except matscie 220/250 which I'm in now!), so I can help with all of those. Further, I have a bit of experience with numerical methods - I'm currently taking AE623 computational fluid dynamics II. Side note: I have taught chinese yoyo in my high-school years to lots of kids - so I can break things down that a 5 year old can understand... literally.
