Experience

I currently teach at Concordia University, and am teaching Human biology and environmental biology. I work in an immunology lab at the University of Michigan during my day job. From 2011- fall 2013, I taught courses at Eastern Michigan University in the Biology Department specifically in introductory biology for biology majors. I have taught, with joy and success, Bio 110 (Introductory Biology I) and Bio 120 (Introductory Biology II) while at Eastern. I have also tutored from 2012-2014 for the Holman Success Center at Eastern Michigan University and have received National accreditation from the College of Reading and Learning 2014. Prior to my graduate career at Eastern Michigan University, I taught systematics of ornithology, systematics of fishes, systematics of mammals at Purdue University. 2008-2010. I also taught many field courses at Purdue during their summer practicum. 2009 & 2010. I was also part of the Student Advisory Board at Purdue University where I gave seminars on time management and study skills. 2009-2010. I tutor a variety of subjects for an organization that focuses on English conversation and speaking for Chinese students called OneView Study City. In this program we focus on whatever the student wishes and I have had students range from 8 years old to over 40 years old and we have worked on subjects from college entrance exams, to math.

Hobbies

In my spare time I am working on publishing some of my thesis research with the US. Fish and Wildlife Service, and spend as much time as possible enjoying the outdoors. I also am working on publishing research projects with various professors and taking online courses in order to stay current on a variety of statistical software and geographic information software.
