Experience
4 years of Graduate student teaching principally in organic chemistry discussion section and laboratory. I've been tutoring for 2-3 years total. My breadth of coverage in chemistry is such that I can reasonably advise on any of the 5 major areas. My focus in teaching has always been to develope a complete understanding of the chemical process. If you have a solid grasp on what is actually happening you can apply that knowledge to solve any problem that's in front of you regardless of how it is presented. Furthermore this type of complete understanding is what allows you to translate educational experience into a job. I currently work as Process Engineer on a large scale plasma deposition system, showing that learning to think about think in a complete manner can expand your job prospects immensely.
