Experience
An experienced tutor, I graduated with a B.S. in biology-geology from Brown University. I also have quite a bit of experience working with children. In fact, I've been assisting little ones in a classroom environment since I turned 14 years old. Back then, I served in a teacher's aide capacity at the Hebrew School I attended at the time.I had a unique job in the summer of 2012, as I spent that time instructing youth on backcountry living, and on repairing White Mountain trails. For the past year, I've been providing tutoring services in math, writing, standardized exams, chemistry, and English, and this has seen me help students ranging from elementary school through to the end of high school.Of all of the courses I provide tutoring services for, the ones I enjoy the most are ACT as well as SAT. My approach to teaching includes seeing all conundrums as puzzles, and aiming to help students to figure out how to solve these puzzles independently. I'll figure out as many ways to explain concepts as required in order for my students to gain the understanding that they need. As I'm an empathetic individual, I'm able to put myself in my students' shoes. This enables me to better relate to them, and to adapt my teaching style to fit their learning styles.When I'm not working, I enjoy running, doing triathlons, swimming, biking, hiking, climbing, and kayaking.
