Experience
I have taught for several years in the Pacific Northwest, at the university level. I have taught writing, literature, and ethnic studies. I have an excellent teaching record and genuinely love my students and our time in the classroom. Most recently, I have taught courses titled "In the Wake: Global Literatures of Haunting" and "Reading Bodies: Race, Gender, and Mobility." I have 6+ years university level teaching (in writing, literature, cultural studies, history, and political theory). I am finishing my PhD in literary and cultural studies and have a great deal of experience teaching, tutoring, advising, and writing. I have published several academic articles and am finishing my dissertation. I find tutoring a rewarding way of teaching one-on-one. I am a highly motivated tutor and teacher. I am encouraging and supportive, while also giving necessary constructive criticism to push each student to produce their very best work.
