I am currently a Masters student at Johns Hopkins University in their Applied Math and Statistics Department. I did my undergraduate education as a Mathematics major at the University of Pittsburgh.
Experience
I have tutored in the Math Assistance Center at the University of Pittsburgh for 4 years helping students mainly in algebra, trigonometry, and calculus courses. Afterwards I worked for a year at Huntington Learning Center as an SAT prep tutor for all portions (Math, Verbal, Writing) of the exam in addition to also being a math subject tutor there. I like to see how students approach a problem first to pinpoint where their confusion stems from. I proceed from there in helping them overcome any gaps in their knowledge by giving them relevant related problems to test that they now know the concept that was troubling them previously.
