Experience
I started tutoring 8 years ago during my freshman year of high school. What at first started out as a way to earn a little bit of extra cash opened my eyes to a hidden passion for teaching. I mainly specialize in math (received a 35 on the math portion of the ACT, as well as completed through Calculus 4 with straight As) but have been known to teach a variety of subjects in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) field. Although I am young, I believe that it gives me an advantage over other tutors because it gives me more to bond with my students over, and also it was not too long ago that I myself was in their shoes. I not only teach my students the course material, but also proper study habits and time management techniques, because I believe that success in the classroom stems from much more than knowing the coursework.

Hobbies
I am a huge sports fan, with my favorite team being the Detroit Lions. In my spare time I enjoy reading and I recently picked up cooking. I also enjoy recreation mental games, such as chess, and am also a part time chess instructor through Afterschool Enrichment Solutions. Most of the free time that I have away from schoolwork goes to hanging out with friends and family, or getting lost in a good book or my latest Netflix binge.
