Education
I'm currently a junior studying Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan. I plan on doing a gap year to work in the engineering industry before I go to medical school, where I hope to become either a emergency medicine or sports medicine physician.
Experience
I've been tutoring since 10th grade, so it's been about 5 years now! Tutoring has been especially rewarding for me because I want to make sure that the student learns to love a subject that they might not have liked before. The best part is when they learn that learning can be a fun process, not just a boring and tiring mandatory thing that they have to do. I have a proven track record of delivering results to every single one of my clients. Most recently, I increased one client's ACT score by SIX points. Furthermore, while I was tutoring in high school, I consistently increased students' grades to the B+/A range, and more importantly, ensured that students understood the fundamentals of the subject to build their concepts and knowledge, whether it be biology or algebra. I always like to keep the parents informed of the students' progress as well as ensure that both parties are well-informed of future steps to take and key problem-solving methods to implement. During high school, I took 10 APs and received 41 college credits just from AP exams coming into college. Once in college, I've been in a rigorous engineering curriculum at the University of Michigan on top of taking pre-med courses to apply to medical school and take the MCAT.
