Lanora J.
Private tutor in Ann Arbor, MI
Education
Morehead State University - BA in Government and Sociology (2015) I am currently a Ph.D. student at University of Michigan
Experience
Between 2011 and 2014, I worked as a counselor and teacher at the Kentucky Association for Academic Competition's middle and high school grade summer camps. There, I provided group instruction on writing and reading comprehension. I am currently a Ph.D. student in the highly-ranked University of Michigan Sociology program. Before moving to Ann Arbor, I worked as a Future Problem Solving coach at a middle school in my undergraduate town and worked closely with other middle through high school students in my community. My skills in written communication and reading comprehension have been crucial at every step of my academic career. It is so important to me that every student I work with be able to improve those skills. They are necessary for excelling in secondary and post-secondary education and wonderful tools for self-discovery and creative outlets. Whatever you or your child need out of writing, I hope to help.

Hobbies
I love creative writing and world-building. I spend a lot of time playing boardgames with my fellow students, and even more time singing enthusiastically as I cook or bake. I'm always on the lookout for new books to read or podcasts to listen to, and appreciate any recommendations.
