Education
I am a graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn. I graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hispanic Studies and English. My cumulative GPA was 3.79. I was on the Dean's List every semester I attended UM-D and I received several honors awards from the faculty of the Language, Culture, and Communications department for my work in my Spanish classes, ranging from speaking, listening, reading, writing, cultural, and linguistic knowledge.
Experience
I currently teach Spanish levels 1 through 4 at the secondary level. I have also held several long term substitute positions for teachers out on illness or maternity leave. In total, I have approximately almost two years of teaching experience to date. I tutored for Henry For Academy from 2014 to 2015, when the discontinued the use of outside tutors in favor of teachers who worked for the school. My job was to keep track of student records, help students with their Spanish coursework, and track daily attendance of students in the tutor program. I want to be a tutor because I enjoy helping students.
